Robert Oates - Founder & Drum Tutor (Surrey and South London
Hi my name is Robert, I am a dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable drum tutor with a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience. My passion for drumming is infectious, I deliver lessons that are relaxed, fun, flexible and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I encourage patience, perseverance and practice, allowing my students to discover their own identify and voice behind the drum kit, whilst learning all the skills they need to become the best drummer they can be!
When teaching I take a relaxed and personal approach, ensuring each students receive personalised lessons dedicated to their specific goals and abilities. I ensure my students learn all the necessary skills to become well rounded drummers, skills such as: solid time keeping & groove, fills and chops, creative and musicianship, technique, and many more over a wide range of genres.
I’ve been drumming for 14 years and have almost 10 years of teaching students of all ages and abilities, both privately and in schools offering both 1-2-1 and group lessons. I studied at the world-renowned Leeds Conservatoire achieving a first-class degree in Popular Music whilst perusing my career in the music industry, playing festivals such as Boomtown, Love Supreme, Live at Leeds as well as TV and radio appearances. I am currently playing with multiple original and cover acts alongside teaching my students.

Chloe Burke - Drum Tutor (East London)
Hi, my name is Chloe! I'm a drummer from London and I've been playing the drums for 17 years. I have 6 years of performance experience in playing for artists, bands, theatre and dance productions. Some of these include playing for artists and shows such as supporting for Nile Roger’s and Chic on their UK Tour, supporting for Becky Hill and Mimi Webb on their UK/EU Tour.
More recently I’ve been playing Theatre shows in the West End in productions such as ‘Six The Musical,’ ‘Misty’ and UK tour with ‘Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World’. Alongside my performance career, I'm currently studying my masters in Music Therapy to better my skills as a performer and teacher.
I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities too in a variety of different styles and genres.
