Why do we offer taster lessons?

We are proud to say that new students love their Taster Lessons so much that 100% book their first lesson block afterwards!

We offer a free taster lesson to give potential students the opportunity to experience the joy of drumming and get a sense of what our drum lessons are like before signing up. It's important to us that our students feel comfortable and confident in their decision to take drum lessons with us, and the free taster lesson allows them to do so without any financial risk.

What Will You Do During Your Taster Lesson?

Our number one goal for the taster lesson is for you to have FUN! Every student is different, so your Taster Lesson is specifically tailored around you and your current ability on the drums.

Typically for complete beginners most Taster Lessons consist of:

  • Discovering the different parts of the drum kit and how to play them.

  • Learning your first drum beats.

  • By the end of your Taster Lesson we GUARANTEE that you will be able to play along to your favourite song!

For non-beginners we’ll work on anything you’re learning, or provide you with new material to work through whilst providing a fresh perspective on specific areas in which you can improve.

1:1 Lessons (At Tutor’s Home Studio)

Every drummer is unique so we tailor your lessons to your ability, learning style and goals, teaching the essential skills needed to becoming the best drummer you can be whilst having fun

What Will You Learn?

  • How to drum to your favourite songs.

  • Good and strong sense of groove and timing.

  • Hand & foot technique and coordination.

  • Rudiments, sight reading and music theory.

  • Fills and chops.

  • Creativity & Musicianship

  • Different genres: Pop, Rock, Funk, Blues, Motown, Soul, Samba, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and many more.

  • Drumming is at it’s most fun when playing with music so

    everything you learn (even rudiments!) will be played to some music.

For more advanced players, we can work through any material you are already learning or can provide a fresh perspective and ways to push your playing with new playing and practice material.

  • 60 minute (£50.00 per-lesson)

1:1 Lesson (At Your Home)

Don’t have a drum kit at your house? Don’t worry! We’ll provide all necessary equipment needed for you to enjoy learning the drums from the comfort and convenience or your own home!

What is provided?

  • Electric or acoustic drum kit (additional fee applies for acoustic drum kit).

  • All other necessary equipment.

What is required from you ?

  • All we require is a plug socket and a room large enough to accommodate the equipment (a living room or office space usually suffices.)

Booking & Pricing (minimum 4 lesson block)

  • 30 minute (£35.00 per-lesson)

  • 45 minute (£42.00 per-lesson)

  • 60 minute (£60.00 per-lesson)

  • 90 minute lessons (£80.00 per-lesson)
